French based Filipino football player speaks fluent Tagalog
written on @ 5:33 PM ?

Alphonse Areola

Alphonse Areola is a Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) French based player.  Born in France to Filipino parents, Alphonse speaks fluent Tagalog and French. The Azkal's have been trying to get him to play  for the Philippine National Football team. At 18 years old with his quick reflexes he is groomed to be #1 France goalkeeper. He is also the target transfer  from his current club to the  English Premiere clubs giants to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Alphonse has already played for the French youth team but has not played the senior level for France.  He has the option to play either for France Les Bleus or the Philippine Azkals. Will he choose Philippines based on his roots or play for the France, the country that taught him the love for the game of football? Only time will tell.

Watch this video, he speaks fluent Tagalog: Areola speaks Tagalog
